“Quantum mechanics describes nature as absurd from the point of view of common sense. And yet it fully agrees with experiment. So I hope you can accept nature as She is – absurd.”
― Richard P. Feynman

I have met Sidney Carton, Mentor of Arisia, Lemuel Gulliver, Captain Ahab, Ford Prefect, and Abner Perry. I have walked the sands of Arrakis with Paul Atreides, stood on the bridge of Red October with Marko Ramius, conversed with Salvor Hardin, and observed with Sherlock Holmes and John Watson.
My travels needed no conveyance – no horse, no car, no airplane. Yet, I have travelled the universe propelled by the Inertialless Drive of the Galactic Patrol’s super-dreadnaught, Dauntless, with Kimball Kinnison, steamed across Europe on the Orient Express with Hercule Poirot, and flown the skies of Pern, dragonback, with F’lar and Mnementh.
Yet, my meanderings continue – a random walk through the halls of castles in the air and the dreams of collective creativity.
I’m MJ West. Might I make a small, insignificant contribution to the universe of imagination?

Coming Soon – The Entanglement Traverse by M. J. West

When journalist Alexis Wallace interviews Grayson Hammond, the galaxy’s most powerful man, she anticipates a career-defining story. Instead, she’s plunged into a centuries-spanning conflict, revealed through Hammond’s memories of past lives and the mind-bending science of quantum entanglement. Alexis’s judgment of Hammond moves from initial distaste to viewing him as insane. But is it madness? As their relationship deepens, they must confront their intertwined destinies and the potential for interstellar war.
‘The Entanglement Traverse’ explores the nature of power, the echoes of history, and the profound consequences of love in a universe where reality itself is entangled.

About M.J.
Author
I’m a writer with a passion for epic sagas, complex characters, and worlds that bend the rules of time, memory, and technology. With a formal background in physics, mathematics and hands-on experience designing optical systems, I bring a deep technical curiosity to every tale—along with a love for the mysterious, the mythic, and the deeply human.
My debut science fiction novel, The Entanglement Traverse, coming soon, weaves high-stakes interstellar intrigue with timeless questions about power, reincarnation, and the forces that draw souls together across centuries. At the heart of my work is a fascination with what lies just beyond the visible—whether it’s a ripple in the space-time continuum, a coded message in starlight, or a half-remembered dream from a past life.
I make my home in Florida, where I’m privileged to live alongside a remarkable array of wildlife—from elegant egrets and regal Sandhill cranes to shy armadillos and the occasional elusive bobcat. It’s a tranquil place, perfect for imagining new civilizations, deciphering the laws of invented physics, and exploring the strange beauty of both real and fictional worlds.
I’m always chasing big questions, exploring the edges of known science, and dreaming up layered histories for broken heroes. I believe great stories are built at the intersection of logic and wonder—and this is just the beginning.
